I am writing to express my gratitude in collaborating with
Pino Sports Academy. I have a well-versed background
and passion for skill development. I played basketball at
Cal State Monterey Bay and majored in Communications
and double minored in Business and Kinesiology. I
furthered my education by obtaining a Masters in Sports
Management from the University of San Francisco.
I transitioned into the coaching world where I empower
young AAU teams to winning seasons, secure lead roles
at high prestige camps, elevated my love for mentoring
by hosting free community basketball clinics and train
several athletes from the beginners to the pros. I
currently teach K-5 PE and coach the Women’s Varsity
Basketball team at Head Royce School in Oakland. In
addition to my ten years there, I am the founder and lead
trainer at one of the top grassroots skill development
academies, Access Your Game Training. This academy
aims to elevate the skill and mindset of youth who have
high hoop dreams. Access Your Game hosts weekly
training sessions, Co-Ed camps/clinics, academic
workshops and financial literacy prep for students and
their families.
A few highlights from my training journey include:
working as a head camp director for Stanford Women’s
Basketball, traveling the globe alongside world-
renowned coach and trainer Phil Handy, building IQ for
many athletes with global Skill Development coach Chris
Hyppa, hosting a camp for 150 young girls with WNBA
Star Skylar-Diggins Smith and training some of the top
high school/college/WNBA stars. Reshanda Gray
(WNBA), Tiffany Hayes (WNBA), Kelsey Plum (WNBA). KK
Arnold (UCONN), Marta Suarez (TCA), Brooklyn Shamblin
(USC), Makayla Moore, (ASU), Kymora Johnson (Virginia).
Lastly, I broadened my scope of work by traveling
outside the country to Ghana, Philippines and Thailand. I
am dedicated to diversifying the resources in
underserved areas. Back in 2022, led a project to help
resurface an outdoor court in the Western region of
Ghana. The city of Takoradi now has a revamped site for
the youth to play basketball. My AYG curriculum is run by
a team of trainers who I certified under my brand.

I have been coaching and training for 12 years and look
forward to building with Coach Pino and his team.
